10/04/2019- 10/06/2019  Friday-Sunday Trip# 2019249

THE AWESOME MAGICAL ADIRONDACKS MOUNTAINS OF NEW YORK

This tour is home-based in Lake George right on shoreline, one of the oldest resort communities in the country, located in the southeast corner of Adirondack Park. Adirondack Park is the largest park in the entire United States, and consists of 6.2 million acres, over 2,500 lakes and 46 mountains over 4,000 ft. This tour will explore Lake George and the High Peaks Region where Lake Placid is located. In Lake George we will be taking a beautiful cruise on The Mohican to the Narrows, sailing between tiny islands. A Dinner and Show will be enjoyed at the hotel. In Lake Placid we will tour the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic venues, a brand new and most unusual Wild Center Museum in Tupper Lake where you can kiss a river otter (behind glass, of course) and walk up a casual ramp to the top of Eagle Eyre and see the forest as an eagle would see the mountains, touch a real iceberg, and see the beauty of life under the river, and more.  The day will end with a casual walk through High Falls Gorge and actually touch a 1.3 billion year old rock! On the way home, we will stop in famous Saratoga Springs to take a city tour, do a little shopping, and say hello to some of Saratoga Race Track's famous racers such as Will's Way, Zippy Chippy, Commentator, Be Bullish, and more.  And yes, they love carrots. Includes two breakfasts and two dinners (one is a dinner theater), two nights accommodations, and baggage handling along with sightseeing as described in itinerary.
