NASHVILLE AND MEMPHIS MUSIC CITY TOUR IN TENNESSEE

 

Musical landmarks, historic sites and legends of music make this part of America home to where music lives. This 7 day package includes 2 nights in Nashville, at the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Hotel, 2 nights in Memphis at the new Guest House at Graceland.  Highlights include a night at the Grand Ole Opry Jamboree, a Ryman Museum self guided tour, a visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame, Nashville Nightlife dinner theater, a Delta boat ride through the beautiful gardens of the Gaylord Opryland Resort Hotel and a 3 hr guided tour of Nashville.  In Memphis visit the brand new Graceland Mansion and museums with a guided audio tour and New Orientation Film, full access to the new state of the art visitors entertainment complex. See Elvis’ two custom airplanes and car museum, Elvis Discovery Museum and Elvis Entertainer Career Showcase Museum, a Memphis ‘back beat’ tour and visit to Sun Studio.  Other stops will be the Casey Jones Museum with lunch, the Delta Heritage Center and a visit the Birthplace of Country Music in Bristol VA.  Price includes 5 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 3 dinners, 1 ‘Nashville Nights’ dinner show, Luggage handling in Nashville and Memphis, and tax and tips for meals.

Day 1

Pack an overnight bag and travel south toward Tennessee with an overnight stop. Dinner can be purchased at one of the local restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast is included before boarding the bus at 7:00 am to continue on to Memphis-"Home of the Blues" with a stop at Casey Jones home and Railroad Museum which includes Casey Jones original 1890' white frame home an American treasure and is not only dedicated to him but to railroad men and women everywhere. A Southern buffet will be enjoyed before the tour. Upon arrival in Memphis you will enjoy a guided Backbeat Tour which will be led by a professional musician/guide who will explore the rich musical heritage of Memphis through a combination of story, comedy and live music. Along the way you will see highlights of the city from Beale Street, Cotton Row, Overton Park, Stax Studio, Lorraine Motel and early homes of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and more. Afterwards, check into your accommodations for the next two nights at the Brand New Guest House of Graceland. This extraordinary hotel experience is in the heart of Graceland and just steps away from the iconic Graceland Mansion. The Guest House welcomes music fans, Graceland guest, Memphis visitors and groups from around the world with southern hospitality, royal treatment and luxurious amenities that would make the king-proud!!
The evening is free to enjoy all the hotel has to offer.

Day 3

8:45am Board the bus to visit Graceland for the day. On your Elvis experience you will have a mansion studio-guided tour and view the new orientation film, full access to the state of the art visitors entertainment complex, Elvis two custom airplanes and his new expanded Car Museum, Elvis career showcase museum and his discovery exhibits. Lunch can be purchased there and late afternoon we take a tour through the birthplace of Rock'n Roll, Sun Studio, where you can touch Elvis' first microphone and hear the real history of the studio that launched many legends. After your tour we will head to the famous Beale Street to shop and enjoy all the happenings there before dinner at King's Palace Cafe with entertainment by a solo Blues guitarist . Meal choices will include Memphis style BBQ sampler of ribs and pork shoulder, blackened catfish, grilled chicken or chicken pasta and includes one drink. Beale Street, one of America's most famous musical streets, is located in the heart of downtown Memphis with three blocks of more than 30 nightclubs, restaurants and retail shops. Music includes traditional blues, rhythm and blues, jazz and rock 'n roll, all which will leave you dancing in the streets!

D

Day 4

Breakfast buffet included. Have your baggage ready inside your room at 7:00 am. Board the bus at 8:00 am to continue your journey through Tennessee into Nashville, the Music City with a stop at the Delta Heritage Center. You will then have time to have lunch on your own in downtown Nashville. Enjoy a guided city tour of Nashville - Music City where you will get the history of this great city, stories of the people and music, and see sites like the Tennessee State Capital building, Bicentennial Park, Centennial Park featuring the Parthenon, Music Row, and more.
4pm - Check in to the Gaylord Opryland Resort
7pm - Reserved seat admission to a performance at the world famous Grand Ole Opry the world's longest running live radio show. As the home of country music, the Opry offers an incredible mix of talent to create an American experience like no other!
9:15pm - Show ends, return to the hotel for the evening.

Day 5

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at a Gaylord Opryland Restaurant. 11.00am Visit the Ryman Studio for a self guided tour, then visit the Country Music Hall of Fame to hear rare recordings of country's legendary performers and see behind-the-scenes films by today's stars, along with costumes, instruments and personal treasures from country music's past and present.
Free time for lunch on your own
3:30pm- Return to the Gaylord Opryland Resort
Enjoy a Delta boat ride through the beautiful gardens of the Gaylord Opryland Resort Hotel and Convention Center during your stay.
Board the bus at 5:15 for a dinner show at the Nashville Nightlight Theater Best of Country Show where you will experience a celebration of country music from both past and present. Hear songs from many of the great artists in country music history, along with today's hottest superstars.

Day 6

Have your bags out by 6:30 am - pack a overnight bag for tonight. Breakfast is Included. Board the bus at 7:30am for a visit to the Birthplace of Country Music in Bristol Va. where you will enjoy lunch and learn how evolving sound and technology shaped stars success, and highlights how this rich musical heritage lives on in today's music world.. Later arrive at our accommodations for the last night.

Breakfast is included before continuing home at 8am with musical memories of your visit to Tennessee!
