Quechee Balloon Festival in Vermont

Visit Vermont’s Green Mountains for the breathtaking Quechee Balloon Festival. Breathe in the fresh air at Billings Farm Museum and discover 19^th century rural life. Explore the quintessential New England village of Woodstock, chock full of charming Americana. Stop for a photo-op at Vermont’s Little Grand Canyon, Quechee Gorge. Color and excitement fill the air at the Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival, tons of entertainment including live music, clowns, jugglers, mimes, comedy, delicious fair food and over fifty Vermont craft displays. Enjoy a buffet lunch cruise on Lake Sunapee. Stop at the Vermont Country Store for some shopping. Package includes two breakfasts, one lunch buffet cruise, two dinners, attractions and lots of hot air balloons!

Day 1

Arrive in Vermont in the early afternoon. Enjoy lunch on your own in the town of Bennington. Stop at the Apple Barn in Pownal, Vermont for a little shopping and an afternoon apple pie ala mode treat. We continue to our hotel where we check in for the next two evenings. Dinner is included at a nearby restaurant.

Day 2

Breakfast is included at the hotel. This morning we travel to Billings Farm and Museum where you will have time to explore the working barns, historic 1890 Farmhouse and agricultural museum. We have time for lunch and shopping on your own in the charming town of Woodstock. This afternoon we make a stop at Quechee Gorge (Vermont's Little Grand Canyon) for pictures followed by a visit to the Quechee Gorge Village which is home to the Cabot Cheese Annex, an Antique Mall and the Vermont Distilling Company. Our final stop today takes us to the Quechee Hot Air Balloon Festival where you can enjoy craft vendors, a hot air balloon lift and dinner on your own at the many Vermont food vendors. We return to the hotel of the evening.

Day 3

Breakfast is included this morning. Today we depart for Saint Gaudens National Historic Site, One of America's Greatest Sculptors. Experience the park grounds where you can view a few of Saint-Gaudens bronze statues, and his home from where he lived from 1900 to 1907. Next we travel to Lake Sunapee where we board Sunapee Cruises for a scenic buffet lunch cruise. This afternoon we return to Vermont and make a stop at the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham for a little shopping. We return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner. Dinner is included at a local restaurant.

Day 4

Breakfast is included at the hotel before departure. Today we journey home taking with us fond memories of our time in Vermont and New Hampshire along with the Quechee Balloon Festival.
