Coastal Maine

Join us on a fun-filled journey to Coastal Maine. We spend four nights in South Portland and will travel to Boothbay Harbor, Freeport (the home of LL Bean), Portland, Ogunquit, and York. Stops on our journey include the Maine Botanical Gardens, a delightful two-hour scenic cruise of the Inner Boothbay Harbor, the Seashore Trolley Museum, and visits to the picturesque lighthouses dotting the coast. Enjoy delicious New England cuisine including a traditional Lobster Dinner. Maine offers outstanding scenery, delicious seafood, quaint coastal towns, picturesque lighthouses, and the seaside city of Portland.

Day 1

Today we begin our journey to Coastal Maine for a wonderful Five Day Adventure of the area. We overnight for the next four evenings in Portland, ME area. Dinner is included this evening at our hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast is included this morning at our hotel before departing for the Maine Botanical Gardens .Visit the gardens and then enjoy lunch on your own at the Café at the gardens. We will then head to downtown Boothbay Harbor to explore the harbor area before boarding Cap n' Fish Cruises for a scenic two-hour Lil Bit O' Maine cruise of the Inner Harbor. We will then return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner this evening at Duffy's Tavern and Grill .

Day 3

Breakfast is included at the hotel this morning. This morning we start our day with a visit to Freeport, ME (Home of LL Bean). Our first stop today takes us to Wilbur’s Chocolate for a guided tour of their candy making shop and sample many of their delicious Maine chocolates. Next enjoy some free time for lunch and shopping on your own in downtown Freeport, ME. Take time to have a delicious Maine Lobster Roll on your own. This afternoon we travel to Portland where you meet a local guide for a tour of this beautiful seaside city that was the home of many famous people including Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Our tour will include a visit to the Bug Lighthouse before heading back to your hotel for dinner.

Day 4

Breakfast is served at the restaurant. Today we meet our local guide who will take us on a tour of coastal Maine. Our first stop today takes us to the Seashore Trolley Museum where you can explore the largest collection of transportation vehicles on the east coast. We will enjoy a scenic 30 minute trolley ride through the Maine countryside. Our tour will include the coastal towns a Kennebunkport where you will see the summer home of Former President Bush and we continue to Ogunquit where you will have time for lunch and shopping on your own. Next we enjoy a picture stop at the Nubble Lighthouse and conclude our day with a visit to Stonewall Kitchens where you can enjoy samples of their delicious Maine Blueberry Products. This evening we enjoy a traditional Maine Lobster Dinner.

Breakfast is included at your hotel before departure. Enjoy your journey home taking with you many fond memories of our time in Coastal Maine.
