Fall in Beautiful Lake Placid staying at the Beautiful Grand Adirondack Hotel with a visit to Lake George

Come, enjoy the beauty of Lake Placid, and stay at the Grand Adirondack Hotel. Situated right in the middle of town where you can venture out and explore. Experience the stories of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics. See and hear the epic tales from a seasoned tour guide. Stop at Lake George for lunch on your own. Drive through Whiteface Mountain. Ride down Veterans Highway, an 8-mile drive. Tour the Van Hoevenberg Complex. Visit the ski jumping venue and take a gondola ride. Tour the Olympic Ice Rinks museum and enjoy a narrated lunch cruise around Lake George. Included in your trip: two complete breakfasts, one lunch cruise, baggage handling, and bus transportation.

Day 1

Today we will head to Lake Placid New York with a stop at Whitman Brewery on the way for a lunch break(on your own) and possibly taste some of their offerings. Arrival at your centrally located hotel The Grand Adirondack in town for a welcome reception of cheese and cracker board along with two drinks then you are free to explore the area. Lots of unique shops/stores; ice cream parlor, local chocolatier, outdoor gear, souvenirs, iconic old movie theater running current movies, many restaurant/bar options for you to explore. Your hotel has two restaurants with full bars and Cloudspitter rooftop area overlooking Mirror Lake and High Peaks skyline!

Day 2

Breakfast included then begin your day of touring the scenic area of Lake Placid with various stops to explore and enjoy along the way.
8.45am depart for Whiteface Mtn Veterans Highway 8 mile drive- get out look around/elev- approx 1 hour
afterwards head toward Mt Van Hoevenberg Complex- tour folowed by lunch on your own on Main street.. This afternoon meet guide at bus for Ski Jumping venue tour short gondola ride/elev then a visit to Olympic Ice Rinks/Museum tour . Back to the hotel around 4:30 with another evening to enjoy your hotel and surrounding area.

Day 3

Breakfast included then a morning sight seeing stop then we will head to Lake George and enjoy a narrated lunch cruise before returning home with fond memories of your scenic Lake Placid adventure.
