Our Harriet Tubman Tour
Learn all about the life and accomplishments of Marylands most famous daughter while seeing landmarks where she had formative experiences. Feel her story come to life through exhibits at the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center. Enjoy a local home-cooked meal that captures the flavor of the Chesapeake Bay region. Then, enjoy a presentation at the Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center, the site of a powerful mural that has garnered national attention!
9:30 a.m. Meet Step-On Tour Guide at Dorchester County Visitors Center The tour guide will board your bus and accompany you throughout the day.
10:45 a.m. Visit the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center
12:45 p.m. Seafood buffet-style Meal at Old Saltys Restaurant & Gift Shop, Hoopers Island. Meal typically includes crab cakes (one per person), baked chicken, clam strips, fried fish nuggets, corn, salad, and an assortment of pie slices for dessert. Water and iced tea are included for drinks.
3:15 p.m. Visit the Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center, with mural in Cambridge, MD
